standstill Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Hi. I'm trying to make a chart based in a field with 2 values (male/female), to get a simple visual comparison of how many men and women are there in a table that is basically a list of people. I'm new to the program but I can't figure out how to do it. Thanks a lot!
Vaughan Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Start by making a summary report based on the Gender field... :D
standstill Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Hi Vaughan Thanks, I've done that and I have the subtotals of each value. But the thing is, how can I use them in a chart?
standstill Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Nobody can help me with this? If it's not possible to do it that way, any suggestion on how to organize the table to get the comparison would be appreciated. I can't believe no one ever thought of doing such a simple chart...
efen Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I haven't checked it but there is a file attachment by comment on this thread http://fmforums.com/forum/topic/82582-compare-records-in-chart/page__fromsearch__1 that compares records in a chart. It may be of some help
comment Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I believe this one is much simpler: GenderChart.zip Notes: 1. This reflects the found set only; 2. Records must be sorted by Gender.
standstill Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 That last one will do for my purposes. So you need a summary field in order to count how many people are there in order to count the male and female %. Thank you very much!
