Dr. Evil Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Is there a way to script a list view window to "resize to fit" properly? Resize to display only the found amount of records be it 2 or 22. When you use FMP's resize to fit function on a list view layout it maximizes the window height to very top and bottom of screen. Which looks odd when database is only displaying a couple records. The resize to fit function on a form view layout works in a nice way, list view not so much. Thanks for any tips! :D

RodSierra Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 We always found it less disruptive to set the window height in list view to the same as form view regardless of record count, constantly changing window sizes can be distracting. Except for small popups, all windows or views remain the same size in our solutions. All windows are also hidden except for the current working window, makes navigation a bit more difficult but keeps the solution very clean.
Dr. Evil Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 DanSmith; Thanks, this works fine. Tho as far as I can tell, I still need to use the resize to fit function to get the width, then I shrink the height size with content function. This causes a window flash, hate them. RodSierra; Yes, agreed. The list view resize to fit technique in my case is being used for a small pop-up window. I'll be using this for "found duplicates" and "catalog items", etc... stuff like that. Thank you both for your comments!
