I have a problem. We have a review form that needs to be filled out. It is locked because of the calculations. However, they can still be filled out and saved by the user (the user just can’t alter the form structure). Scribe can’t fill them out…I get an error, I guess because they can’t be uploaded without a password (which we don’t have…corporate thing)? Should scribe be able to write to edible form fields regardless? Or am I missing some simple fix? Thanks if anyone has a solution.

TEST_ManagementForm_tme.pdf

When I attempted to save changes to the document I got the following message:

"The file “TEST_ManagementForm_tme.pdf” is encrypted and changes to it cannot be saved.

This document can be duplicated to an unencrypted copy to which changes can be saved."

If the file is encrypted and we are unable to save it locally, Scribe would have a similar problem.

Yeah, that is a flaw in Preview. If you open it in Adobe Reader you will see that it is fine. We often see errors with Preview…a real pain.

I've spoken with one of the developers of Scribe and it looks like the plugin doesn't support this functionality in this case. If you can remove the lock (and it appears you are unable to) it should solve the problem.

Thanks for checking.
