databaser Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I remember once seeing, what I believe was a plugin product (I'm guessing from 360works), that lets you search for scripts based on things like what functions it uses (and maybe what fields it sets). I'm returning to work on a database I haven't touched in a long time, with about 300 scripts. I'm having a lot of trouble remember which scripts do what. I'm thinking something that lets me search like that would really help, so if anyone could help me remember what I'm thinking of, I'd really appreciate it.
dansmith65 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 These are the first two programs that come to mind, but I think both of these only search for a script by name. http://www.dracoventions.com/products/2empowerFM/family/developer.php http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI5hKvyKlXA Otherwise, you could use a DDR analyses tool like http://www.goya.com.au/baseelements, http://www.beezwax.net/products/inspectorpro, or others, but these are the two main one's I know of. Or, you could also print your scripts to a PDF, then search that. Or do a text search on your DDR.
Rick Whitelaw Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Yes, use FMPA, create a DDR and it will be completely searchable in a browser.
