Just an FYI that we have upgrade the site today to the latest version, there may be some random issues that we will work to resolve as soon as possible.

I notice immediately that it is faster for me - everywhere. Even jumping through the emoticons is faster.

Speed should increase a bit more once the site is finished moving threads older then 2 years into their own table -

by archiving threads this will improve performance for day to day operations but not impact the ability to search.

Will they go to The Attic with the other older (but still extremely valuable) posts so we can still search them?

Archived topics will remain inline here but will be tagged [ARCHIVE] and they all become locked - (no more replies)

saves on queries and doesn't require extra page loads.

This also should spawn new material instead of a decade old post being resurrected.

Ohhhhhhh, me likey the tag links at the bottom.
