Multiple records on one layout

Featured Replies

I have been looking round and can't seem to find this feature. Does anyone know if it is possible to display multiple records on one layout.

I know I can do this in list view, however I need to be able to style the page and place fields in specific places on the page.

To maybe give you a little better idea of what I am looking to do.

I want to be able to view 2 existing records each in a column on the left side of the layout. There will be some design elements in the middle of the page and a third column(record) on the right side of the page.

Does this sound possible?

To my knowledge portals won't be able to format in the way I am talking about.

I attached a screenshot to better show my intent.

You can put 3 portals side by side. Each portal should show only 1 record. The second portal would start with the initial tow being 2 and the thrid with the initial row being 3.

FileMaker does not have horizontal portals. Also, if this is for viewing only, then use can use a label layout and display the records side by side in preview mode.

That being said, without more specific detailed information, I cant go into more detail.
