Server 5.0 is running considerably slower the our older 3. version...

FMP Server is on an G4 server Computer running Apple share IP

File and Guest amounts have been limited to the bare minumum

Increased apllication memory

Increased Database Cache to 20m

What do I do next....

STEP 1

DO NOT run ASIP on the same machine as FMS!

STEP 2

On your new seperate FMS server with at least 512mb ram

create a persistant ram disk (shareware) and load FMS and

all your files into the ram diks. Setup the Ram disk

to write to disk. Every so many seconds.

STEP 3

On this machine mount a volume from AISP and have FMP

Backup all database to the AISP Server.

STEP 4

Use Retrospect to backup your AISP Server.

OS 9.1 + ASIP 6.3 + Retrospect 6.1 + FM Server 5.0v1 = Ford Explorer + Firestone AT Tires + 22 PSI tire pressure + 5 Kids + Woman Talking on Cell Phone + Rain
