Formatting for Avery Mailing Labels

Try as I may, I have been unable to format a layout that centers fields on an Avery label sheet.

Doesn't seem to matter where I stack the text.

The print out will center on some of the labels, be at the top on some of the labels and hang over the edge on others.

When I select a new layout I am careful to select from the list of available sizes, in this case Avery 5161.

Any ideas how to do this?

In my experience, whether in FileMaker or any other program that purports to support Avery formats, I always have to mess with it. Use the template sheet provided with all Avery packages and it may save you expensive Avery stock. It's a pita but once you get it right it will work forever.

You were right. After about 30 sheets of regular paper I was able to get something that is workable.

Still not perfect but viable.
