Am I correct that in v12 the only way to set up the default font/size etc for new fields is via the theme?

Yes, that's my understanding of it.

I haven't had a chance to play with 12 yet (although I've converted a few files). If using theme is the only way to set the default font then I see this as a good thing (?) because before, I would lose my default all the time and I was constantly having to respecify it.

If we can set the default (using theme) and it will STICK for the default, that is wonderful news to me!! Thanks for bringing this up, John! :^)
