Big Image alongside portal displaying all the little Images

Featured Replies

I have a layout where on one side I have a portal displaying the name, details and image of many pictures, reasonably small.

I would like that next to this portal box is a big container field that when one of the smaller images is selected, that image appears in the big container alongside. I have tried self-relate tables and I just can't get it to work. Do you think you could point me in the right direction please.

Thanks so much,

María

P.s. can one search within the portal for a specific picture?

See if this helps:

Thanks Mate,

Nice example. I have a quick question. When I click on the parent field inside the portal, the child appear alongside outside of the portal, but the portal resets, meaning that if I have a portal with 500 listings and I have scrolled down to the bottom using the vertical scroll bar and bring up the child, the portal jumps back to the top.

Is there any way to stay on the record that I have just clicked within the portal, instead of it jumping back up to the top record in the portal?

Thanks so much and have a fabulous weekend.

No, it doesn't - at least not in my file. Make sure your portal is NOT set to 'Reset scroll bar when exiting record'.
