I would like to insure that a record could not ripened until a future date . People could. Change the date on their systems . I want to find a sure-fire way to get the accurate time on the Internet so there would be no cheating. Any suggestions are very appreciated .thank you

If the solution is hosted with FileMaker Server, you could use the Get( CurrentHostTimestamp ) calculation to get the date and time from the host computer, not the client computer.

Hosted at Yahoo: what does that mean? Is it on a cloud file server or is it running in a virtual machine running FM Server?

Use a web viewer to navigate to a major website (newspaper, news service, government agency) which has the current date on display and parse it out.

Thank you. I do not have a dedicated filemaker hosting. I just use yahoo for hosting
