Will mirrorsync work with Filemaker Server Advanced v11 running on Windows 7 Ultimate?

How is conflict resolution identified and addressed?

Will mirrorsync work with Filemaker Server Advanced v11 running on Windows 7 Ultimate?

Yes, it will. We've tested FileMaker Server Advanced v11 running on Windows Server 2008r2, so I assume that it will also work with Windows 7 Ultimate.

MirrorSync keeps track of which change was made last, and selects that as the winner in a conflict. So if a record is changed at 2PM on one device, and 3PM on another device, the 3PM change will win the conflict. The exception is that changes always win over deletions, regardless of which one happened first. A common misconception is that this is based on who syncs first or last - MirrorSync will pick the record that was EDITED last, not the one that was SYNCED last.

Is there any logging available - especially as it relates to the conflict resolution?

sblatter makes an excellent point in asking about logging of sync operations. I'd like to know the answer to that as well.

Currently, we do not log database operations. I will add that to our feature request list.

Nice!
