How many clients included in Portfolio license?

Featured Replies

We currently have the Portfolio bundle license and are evaluating Mirror sync integration. Is this inclusion of Mirror Sync an unlimited Enterprise license, or is it limited to a certain number of clients?

Thanks in advance,

- - Scott

The Portfolio Bundle includes 10 devices and 2 FileMaker solutions. We do not offer an unlimited device license for MirrorSync. Additional devices (beyond the 10 that are included) are $490 for a 10-pack ($49 per device).

Hmmm…Guess that's going to be a topic for today's database assessment meeting, since we have about 50 users. I take it that would be concurrent users in operation at any one time simultaneously? Or, is it the number of clients that have been configured?

It is the number of devices that have synced at some point in time. You can use the configuration utility to remove old unused devices that are no longer in use, so that they don't count against the device limit.

Keep in mind that there is no such thing as "concurrent users" in MirrorSync, because we only support a single sync operation at any moment in time. If a second user tries to sync at the same time as somebody else, they will get a message telling them to try again in a moment. I don't foresee this being a problem in most cases because the sync operations are pretty fast.
