Matthew R White Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 My database is sorted by customer number, is there a way or function that basically prints out a report of what fields were modified for each customer for each day? Basically we sell insurance, and after working with a customer file ex: adjusting addresses or premiums at the end of each day we would like a report that shows what has been changed in the file so one of our agents can check over the changes. Any help on this issue greatly appreciated!! Matt
Vaughan Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 You can add record modification date and time (or timestamp) fields to record when records were last edited. This might help.
LaRetta Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 But if you want to track all field modifications, check out fmDataGuard by WorldSynch which allows viewing current vs prior as well and allows roll-back. It produces records of every change and you can view, search it like any other table. Or try Nightwing's Super Log. Try searching for "Audit trail" here for several more suggestions. :^)
