Hello,

I know nothing about Access, but I don't have to, someone else does. What I need to determine is how, if possible, to share info with Access. My client has, and would like to keep, basic info/bookkeeping info in Access. The graphics dept uses Macs to produce ads. We are going to use FMP to manage the ads crossplatform (no big deal).

The question is: can I have a direct link to the client info in Access? I would like to avoid the export/import routine.

Probably through ODBC.

But there is still question why superior database system will not handle everything and in much better performance than the A...

Thanks for the hint. I hope there is someoneout there who has done this before.

With regards to your second point - some of it is political and some of it is that they have already invested a good amount of money into the Access development.
