since the latest update (yesterday) i noticed that on PC's i am seeing the JAVA logo display more often before it renders the pdf image.

I am having the same problem. Computer automatically upgraded to Java 7 release 5. Should I downgrade?

I restarted Supercontainer server, and it seems to be only this one machine doing it (so far). I think I need to somehow disable Java's updates because all they are is trouble.
