Newbies IrishBob Posted October 7, 2000 Newbies Posted October 7, 2000 Are there any known problems with FM 4 and Windows 2000?
Xas Posted November 1, 2000 Posted November 1, 2000 No problems whatsoever. Using fmpro4 and have seen a 200% increase in speed and response time on an 800 mhz 20 gig IBM 300GL system. Life is wonderful!

FileMaker Rules!
Newbies antha1845 Posted July 4, 2003 Newbies Posted July 4, 2003 I have a problem that seems to be windows 2000 related! can anyone help on this one. 12 workstations, 1 server, running a networked filemaker database workstations are win98 server is winnt all is well and peace rules. Upgrade two workstations to win2000 suddenly they wont print data from same database. The layout objects are all there but no addresses or notes etc no data at all. Same file still works normally from other workstations i.e. win98 ones. Printers are small brother lasers and are networked via Microsft client i.e. printers are attached to a PC not a server. One networked printer has the same problem, so common factor only is win2000. The workstations are running version 5.3 of filemaker and please dont say I need to upgrade it will cost a fortune. TH
Anatoli Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 Usually the problem is only with printer drivers. First try the newest. Then if that fail go backwards to old drivers. Also some issue can be with fonts, try to increase height of fields.
