gullfounder Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Hi, I have created the Database in FileMaker and Made some accounts for clients usage. But i wanted to make the some rule changes so the client can also make an account. But not with Admin privileges. My question is can i give permissions to the client. so, he can make normal user accounts. But can not change the layout and other database settings?
dansmith65 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 The only way to do this is to use a script to create the account(s), and to have the script run with full access privileges.
David Jondreau Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 For every script there's a checkbox at the bottom of the editing window: Run script with full access privileges.
dansmith65 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 and the script steps I'm referring to: http://fmhelp.filemaker.com/fmphelp_12/en/html/scripts_ref2.37.27.html#1028418
