Hey, on my layout I have a portal with certain fields and when I print it it looks like it does on filemaker, when I insert a normal field on my layout though, I just see the text I wrote into it, I dont see the actual field when its printed. Any suggestions on how to fix that? it looks like its just plain text on my layout atm.

Your message is not very clear, I'm afraid . But if you mean you can't see the border around the field then just select the field and, in Inspector, select appearance and effects or borders. If in doubt, find another field which DOES display properly and copy it then just double-click it to bring up Specify Field and re-point it to your field.
