I am looking to create a list layout, in which the user is able to select and deselect which fields they wish to see. And re-size them appropriately.

Is this doable?

The only way a user can change or resize a field as you describe, is to allow them access to Layout Mode. Are you going to give your users access to Layout Mode?

I didn't want to...

Read FileMaker Help about sliding objects. You can make the fields the maximum size needed to hold the largest amount of text, and then have them slide Up, Left, and / or Right to fit your printing needs. However, the sliding does not show in Browse Mode, only in Preview and Print.

Thanks Lee, I am familiar with sliding objects, but it's not really what I'm looking for. The user wants to be able to resize - sometimes to smaller than the data in the field. Pretty much how Table View works, but I also want to add buttons and such for limited functionality.

You can have buttons in Table View, but you probably already knew that, and it wasn't what you are looking for either?
