Missing Plug-in Mountain Lion OSX

Featured Replies

Im have Supercontainer solution working on Windows FileMaker Client.

When I use my Mac with OSX 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion) the Web Viewer field is showing error "Missing Plug-in"

The plugin is in right place and I have tried various plugin versions with no luck.

Im using FileMaker 11 version and also FileMaker 11 advanced.

Im using SuperContainer Server (Windows) version 2.792

My question is, is Supercontainer compatible with the newest OSX version 10.8.2? or am I doing something wrong here?

Best regards,

Kolbeinn Reginsson.

Two approaches to this:

1. Update to the latest version of Java by visiting Oracle.

Or, you may need to:

2. Explicitly use the "noapplet" style in your web viewer to avoid the "Missing Plug-in" message.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your reply.

1.  I have the newest java version Version 7 Update 9 installed.

Result: "Missing Plug-in" message.

2. When adding "noapplet" style.

Result: The missing plugin message is gone, and I can live with that, but it would be better to have it like it was.

Best regards,

Kolbeinn.

Try having a look in /Library/Applications Support rather than the local folder for filemaker.  Just ran into this the other way around trying to delete the plugin to try something

I am having a similar problem.

We are running FM Client v11.04 which accesses the FM database that is hosted on a FM Server running v11.

The SuperContainer plug-in works under OSX 10.7.5 Lion, but it does not under 10.8.2.  It displays the "Missing Plug-in" error on the portal window.

We have users uploading links to files in various formats (PDF, Word, Excel, etc)

The Java is updated to version 17 on both the Lion & Mtn Lion machines

Appreciate the help if there is a fix for this.

I am also having the same problem as iguana_joe.  I had to reformat my computer and reinstalled Filemaker Pro Advanced v11.04.  I have the most recent version of Java 7 installed.  I have put the companion plug-in in the extensions folder and restarted the computer.  I keep getting the "Missing Plug-in" message in my supercontainer fields.  This worked perfectly fine last week before the hard drive change and reinstall.

I am hoping for a fix.

Hi guys,

Do you have the most recent version of SuperContainer? You can download it here. Make sure you update both the server and the companion plugin.

That worked for me thanks.  I updated the SuperContainer on the server and it fixed it.  It's weird that it was still working on other machines, but maybe using the newest plugin was a mismatch with the server that was running.  Thanks for your help.
