Counting Number of Portal Items Displayed....how to do?

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I have a portal with a global field that filters the portal.

I have been trying to figure out how to create a field that shows the number of records displayed in the portal rather than just the number of records related by the portal.

I've tried various ways but it continues to show the number of related records, and does not change when I filter the portal.

Any guidance pointing in the direction of a solution would be much appreciated.

Thank you

create a relationship that replicates the filter exactly and Get (FoundCount)

I haven't used this technique yet, but I've heard of using another portal, limited to one row, than has the same filter criteria, and only show a summary field that is defined to count a field that will never be empty (like the primary key field).
