Greg Hains Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Good morning. I have just had a client install FMS 12 on a new Server 2008 R2 server, and whilst I didn't witness the installation process, I was advised that it went fine. The problem I do have is that no icons were created so I am unable to run the FMS Admin tool. Can anybody please advise what icon I can create manually, or as no icon was created, what other problems I am likely to encounter? Thanks, Greg
Wim Decorte Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 do you see "filemaker server" folder in the Programs list? There is also a deployment log that is created by the installation process, you should probably review that for any errors, same with the application and system event logs. You can always run the admin console on the server by using this url: http://127.0.0.1:16000
Greg Hains Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 Hi Wim, No, there was no Filemaker Menu created, but after I went to the link you suggested, the Deployment process continued, and it created an icon and the Start Menu items. Many thanks for your help. Greg :-)
