Layout field sizing doesn't match Browse sizing

I'm stuck on this issue and not sure how to describe in a search so here is my post.

setting up a new layout (see layoutmode.jpg), all the fields are arranged nicely and are perfectly sized.

Once I switch to Browse mode (see browsemode.jpg) everything is stretched out (it seems to be 100 px long vs 19 px as it is setup in layout mode).

Also, everything looks like it is stretched the exact same length (despite most fields being set to 19 px).

As a test, I tried changing the A_t_ID_Folder field to a height of 200 px (it is identified with "RP120" on the top right of the screen of the browsemode.jpeg screenshot).

And as you can see it is 200 px taller than the comparable fields around it,

What is causing the extra height to be arbitrarily applied to every field?

Note, I'm editing a developer solution that was custom built and it is not my creation. The developer said that I should try entering by manually typing in the measurements but that didn't work.

In layout mode, check the object autoresizing settings in the Position tab of the Inspector. It looks like all the stretching objects are anchored to both the top and bottom of the layout. You probably want most of the objects to only be anchored to the top of the layout.

It looks like you need to reset the 'autosizing' options for all objects on the layout. To do this:

1) in Layout mode, select all objects

2) bring up the Inspector palette and find the 'autosizing' section (under the 'Position' tab)

3) There are four pad locks that can be toggled: top, left, right, bottom

- turn the top and left on; make sure the right and bottom are off

Go to browse mode and see if it looks correct.

Thanks to both of you - that was the issue,

Knew it was something simple and obvious. Things jumped around until I relocked the top and left sides (as mentioned).
