November 10, 201213 yr I have a portal that all of the records are showing the same information as the first record. The table holding the portal is called Vendors, and the portal is built from Purchase Orders. When a purchase order is added some of the fields show the data from the first record, such as Image, date, etc. However, some show from the correct information. I've noticed that the fields that are being repeated are ones from a related table Styles which is related to Purchase Orders through Style ID. I don't really understand why this happens?
November 10, 201213 yr Two possible explanations: 1) the fields are not from the same relationship as the portal 2) the fields are not completely within the bounds of the top portal row. By your description the most likely cause os the first, incorrect relationship.

Even though there is a clear relationship between them?
November 10, 201213 yr What you describe should work - provided you have an unbroken TOG of: Vendors -< Purchase Orders >- Styles Why don't you post your file (or, preferably, a simplified version of)?
November 10, 201213 yr Author I've attached my file. The problem lies on the Vendors - WIP layout. Edit: use admin to log on - no password. Lulumari.zip
November 10, 201213 yr I am afraid I cannot open version 12 files yet. P.S. Please update your profile.
November 10, 201213 yr Newbies When you go through relationships to create a portal it's not possible to go back in the relationship path. In your exemple you have : VENDOR -> STYLES -> PURCHASE ORDERS ( and even DESIGNERS ) Your portal is based on PURCHASE ORDERS but you add into this portal fields from STYLES : so, all the portal lines will show the first related STYLE to the VENDOR

That clears up my question, although a disappointing result , thanks!

When you go to the Production Managers - Purchase Orders layout, this layout shows records from Production Managers, and the portal displays records from Purchase Orders. I also have fields from Styles, and Vendors, and other tables also in this portal, and everything works fine. This really makes no sense to me now...
