I wasn't sure where to post this so please forgive me if it would have been more appropriate elsewhere.  I have a simple report that I created using FM 11 advanced.  The report is on a dropdown from the layout menu.  When I view the report is contains all the proper formatting.  When I place the databse on the server and the endusers view the report for formatting is gone.  Any idea why this might happen?

My view that has formatting is the attached file named HomeCenter.jpg

The image the endusers view is attached and named HomeCenterNoFormat.jpg

This is my first stab at creating a report so it is extremely rudimentary...

Any ideas on why this is happening and/or how I can insure the view regardless of who opens the report would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you... mp

In viewing the first screen shot, it shows your records are sorted by leading part based upon Staff and then by Activity Type. But view your second screen shot and it is unsorted. If you sort it then it should display properly. :-)

Added: To group records you use parts and the sort must match the part.

I do not know your process or script but one way is to create sort script separately and then trigger it OnLayoutEnter. But why not include the sort right in your report script itself? If you let report assistant create the script for you, it will include the sort otherwise you can open your report script and add it.

To know what a script for report with parts should look like, create a new report and let FM step you through it and you will be asked at the end of the report build if you want it saved as a script. :-)

Also read up on reporting in FM Help.
