Renaming Container File without exporting?

I am trying to find out if there is a way to rename a file stored in a container without performing an Export Field Contents ( $customFileName ) and Import File ( $customFileName ) script steps.

 

I know it's possible using the above method but seems cumbersome to have to completely export a file, rename it and then re-upload it.  If this is the only method then so be it, but I figure I would ask before going down that road.
