Database Designs Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I'm not sure if this is a scripting problem or a layout problem. I have a related file that only contains one record of a map. This one record has numerous layouts showing different areas of the map. My problem is when I access the map from the related record it populates a layout field and then a script takes me to that layout. If someone else tries to view the map it won't let them because it says I am editing that record. I can have duplicate records of this map because it's only used for viewing. There are no changes made to the map. I was wondering if there is a way the system can see that the first record id locked and just go to the next record. I only have 5 users so if I had 5 identical records that would be enough. Or is there a way I can tell user 1 to go to record 1 user 2 to record 2 etc, etc.
