I had te reïnstall fms 12 again and so began the excersise of re-creating the schedules. I noticed with the installation a question of performing a clean install or importing settings. I didn't have these so, I recreated these and saved them for future use : ( in FMS : choose menu : save schedules and groups ).

 

When I open this XML in oxygen ( xml editor ) the file an invalid xml file. 

 

Question : is this file usable and so the xml-files are indeed supposed to be garbled ?

Since it contains names of files / scripts and credentials that are used in server-side scripts and OS-level schedules that you use, that file is protected.
