Script Trigger

I have a field (days) that I want to trigger an email if days <31.  How do I get the script to run when days <31??    TIA

Under what circumstances does days change?  Startup, login, calculation, something else?

I don't have v9 installed anymore, but was Script Triggers available in it, or did it require an add on plugin to do this?

Script triggers debuted in v10.

Sorry bout that.  FM 12 Advanced.  Days field changes ever day from current date.  When it counts down to 31 days left I want to trigger an email.
