Hi,

 

I'm writing a script to import from one Filemaker database into another (i.e. exactly the same tables and fields) and am performing the initial import to match fields. I want to do this import and then select the "Perform without dialog" checkbox for the script.

 

I always want the import to update matching records and then add anything not matched as new records.

 

However, when the import dialog box comes up, only the "Add new records" radio button can be selected. The "Update matching records" option is greyed out and I have no idea why.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

i assume the table you are setting up has zero records currently - add 1 record to setup the script then delete the record.

Do you have a pair of match fields selected? (=)
