May 29, 201312 yr I have a flat database that runs a 'case' calculation in two "Product total" fields, to result in a count of products (that exist in other multiple fields). ie. each "Product total" field is for a specific product (I'm only interested in two products). There are unique customer numbers, of which some have multiple counts for either or both of the products (in the two calculated fields) and some, nothing. I am trying to 'compress' 10000 records to result in one record per unique number with a total for each of those two "Product total" fields next to it ... is this even possible? All of the other data (fields) are not required for this layout. I have tried various report layout options etc. and nothing .... I appreciate any thoughts/suggestions:) Thanks! fmp totals issue.tiff
June 2, 201312 yr I don't fully understand what you are asking, but here goes. In your screenshot you're sorting with sub-summary header by Custom Account Number and you only want to show just that summary information right? So just use a summary field in that sub-summary header for the counts? Use summary fields that count the products and put them in the sub-summary fields and remove the body part of the layout. Does that solve what you're trying to do?
