Here's the scenario: We have a database that has multiple related files, It was originally created with Filemaker 5 by someone else. Over the years I have modified it and created tables etc... and taken advantage of some new features. The company has never had the resources to have me restructure their database. That being said here is the issue now. They have started a new company and they want to use a clone of the existing database as is... I have created clones. Renamed files, changed the names of the external data sources etc... Both of these databases will be hosted on their filemaker server concurrently. They are currently using FMS 9. There are so many scripts that select windows etc that need to be changed so there is no confusion and the wrong window displays (selects Company A vs Company B). I can change the scripts one by one but was curious if there was a quicker method. I am using Filemaker 11 Advanced for their databases. I feel as though I want to search & replace all Select Window "Company A Invoice" with Select Window "Company B Invoice".

I hope the above paragraph makes sense to someone, I feel as though it's rather convoluted! :idot:

Thank you!

If you used the FM Advanced Tools utility to rename the files, then I believe this should be taken care of - IIRC (and I am happy to be corrected) it's not just the Window Name, but also the unique hidden FM ID that are used to find the right window.

We've got up to three sets of files that can be run concurrently that are substantively identical and were renamed using the Developer Tool and the correct window gets selected by scripts.
