Any opinions on loading files to web and storing link as alternative to container files?

Could you clarify what you're asking? Are you asking if SuperContainer is better than FileMaker container fields?

No need to ask, otherwise SuperContainer would not be so popular .

My question is because I have some pictures, pdf's and similar files that I would like to be able to view when needed (not interested in viewing them every time I open a Layout, only sporadically)

I have 3 options

a) FM container fields

Super Container

c) Uploading files to the web and accesing them via a link and a OpenURL script (for restricted view files I can set a PW protected directory on the web that hosts my web page, 1and1), but nothing that will be uploaded can be considered highly confidential.

 

What I want to know is what FMforumer's think about these alternatives, I guess they all have pro's and con's, and would like to hear about people's experiences.
