Is there any way to embed a FMP runtime application in a website, or on a webpage? I am not referring to using the internet publishing feature. I want to actually create a runtime app and call it from a website using a standard browser. I have FMP12 Advanced.

No.

 

And any attempt to provide networked access to an FM runtime breaks the license.

You can host a runtime on FileMaker Server and use that for web publishing.  But that probably does not fit in to the "cheap" factor of using a runtime you had in mind?
