Creating PDF's from layouts how do i get rid of blank pages after "sliding"

Featured Replies

Hi All

I am using FM 12 Pro Advanced, I am relatively new to this whole scene.

I have several layouts which i want to print PDF's from. This is all ok i know how to do this but My layouts contain fields that i am resizing "sliding up based on content" The problem is i end up with spare blank pages at the end of the PDF when a user does not used the maximum field space and the thus the fields slide up. See attached PDF showing a part of my database output which documents the case narratives for a patient in my adverse events register. Each Field actually has a whole page length for the user to enter data on the layout. However, is suspect most will not use a full page hence i use sliding up to "real in the space" not used by the fields. This leaves me with two blank pages at the end of the PDF. Very annoying.

Is there a way of "making the footer" of the layout "chase" the last field so that you remove blank spaces? Or is there anyway to remove these defunct pages other than post creation with adobe acrobat etc.

Cheers Zig

Are you also reducing the size of the layout part(s)?

Try using the FM help system first - it's the last column on the menu.
