Making Drag-and-Drop work again?

We've been using SuperContainer on multiple computers and operating systems, but after updating SuperContainer on our server to the current version (2.89), no one seems to be able to drag-and-drop files and photos to SuperContainer WebViewers.  Also the WebViewers now look different:  they have buttons for Browse and Upload, and upon attempting to drag-and-drop a file, an error displays:   "Message from webpage:  Drag-and-drop uploads are not supported on this computer.  Use the upload form instead."

Our server is Filemaker Server 12, updated with SuperContainer 2.89 and Java 7 Update 25.

One example user has Filemaker 12 Advanced, Windows 8, SuperContainer 2.89, and Java 7 Update 25.

Hello,

With the latest update to SuperContainer, we now present the HTML 5 interface in SuperContainer web viewers by default to achieve better compatibility with Java 7 update 25. Please see this release for more information: http://www.360works.com/news/detail/266

Internet Explorer 9 (and older versions) do not support drag-and-drop. Because FileMaker 12 only uses up to Internet Explorer 9 for its web viewers, drag-and-drop is no longer supported by default on Windows machines. In previous versions of SuperContainer, we were able to use the Java applet on Windows (by default) to get around the lack of drag-and-drop support. But due to a conflict, we can no longer enable the Java applet at the same time as our plugins in the Java 7 update 25 environment.

You can bring back the applet view by adding a style modifier of "applet" to your SuperContainer URL (see here for an example: http://docs.360works.com/index.php/SuperContainer#.22style.22_URL_parameter). But be aware that it can cause conflicts if open alongside any 360 Works plugins.

The Java applet was also used for the automatic zipping of folders dragged into it. Without the applet, you must zip up the folders before uploading them to SuperContainer.

I understand.  When you say using the style modifier of "applet" can "cause conflicts if open alongside any 360 Works plugins", can you give any specifics?  Could it the modifier be used on a layout where the Email plugin is not used but not in conjunction with the Email plugin?  Or the WebAssistant plugin?
