Jeff Spall Posted June 1, 2001 Posted June 1, 2001 Hi, is there any way to use the "replace" function from web pages? It would be really useful to be able to make a change to a field in a found set as you can when working direct into the database. I'm using cdml pages with both fmp5 unlimited and fmp4 (on different servers!!) Thanks, Jeff
dspires Posted June 1, 2001 Posted June 1, 2001 Not directly. The web interface is much more limited than working directly in FMP. Depending on your specific requirements though, you may be able to create a FMP script to accomplish your goal. The script can be called from a web page. Be careful though, there are problems to be aware of when running scripts called from the web - this forum for numerous messages on that subject.
Jeff Spall Posted June 1, 2001 Author Posted June 1, 2001 Thanks! I kinda thought this might be so. I'm very reluctant to use a script as there are about fifteen different web databases running on the server and even the home page is a Filemaker search return! Thanks, Jeff
