rivet Posted February 19, 2002 Posted February 19, 2002 Is there a calc other then if or case that can add a zero in front of a single digit.
RussBaker Posted February 19, 2002 Posted February 19, 2002 This will do it (but not for negative numbers) SetField["number1","Left("00", 2-Length(number1)) & number1"] I'd be interested to know why? Russ Baker Canberra, Australia
rivet Posted February 20, 2002 Author Posted February 20, 2002 Bob - Sweet! and thanks Russell - because I have a date to text calc that builds a popup and I visually need things aligned for clean reading. Double digits for the month and date makes that happen. Thanks again
rivet Posted March 9, 2002 Author Posted March 9, 2002 How about a NON if calc for stringing three text fields together with a ' / ' seperator for only the fields that have values in them. eg1 field1 / field2 eg2 field1 / field2 / field3 eg3 field1
BobWeaver Posted March 9, 2002 Posted March 9, 2002 Is this some kind of test? What do you have against If() functions? Okay, how 'bout: field1 & Choose(IsEmpty(field1) * 4 + IsEmpty(field2) * 2 + IsEmpty(field3), "/","/","/") & field2 & Choose(IsEmpty(field1) * 4 + IsEmpty(field2) * 2 + IsEmpty(field3), "/","","","","/") & field3 But really!! A Case() or If() function would probably provide a cleaner solution in this situation.
