Hi,

I was hoping that I could open a local WiFi between my MacBook Pro and the iPad so I can build and test my solution without having to upload/download to/from iTunes or email it!

The iPad seems to see the network since I can select it in the iPad WiFi menu.  When I open FM Go and I select Favorite host I get "No Files Found" and a field to enter a "File Name" so I try to enter the following;

169.254.158.82/Art.fmp12

but no luck ... rats!

If I've got File Sharing ON, on the FM App, I would think FM Go would have access to it!

I'm really not interested in downloading the app each and everything I make a change via iTunes or email

Why can't FM Go have access to my FM files ?? via a local WiFi between devices ... is there another way ??

Thank you.

Tom :-)

You would select "local hosts",  not favorite hosts.

The Macbook should be listed there.  If not then check that both Macbook and iPad have an IP address of the same type (in the same network).  And double-check the FM Pro sharing settings: is it set to share the file?

You don't ever need to specify the IP address with the file name, that won't work.  The first thing you need to see is the Macbook visible in the local hosts selection
