January 23, 201411 yr I have several container fields that link to images by reference. I'm using Fm Server 13 installed with Microsoft server 2008 R2. When connecting through the desktop (with fm12) I see the images, but when I try to access them through Fmgo, all i see in the container field is the path.
January 23, 201411 yr Typically what this means is that the path to the images can not be resolved by the FM client (FM Go in this case). Where are the images? In a shared folder on the network?
January 23, 201411 yr Author They are on a 2nd drive on the server (not on the OS drive) in a shared folder that is mapped as "W".
January 24, 201411 yr FM Go has no concept of a "mapped drive", that's a Windows thing and iOS is a completely different operating system. It's one of the reasons to never use container data "by references" and use the "remote container" feature.
January 24, 201411 yr I recently wrote a blog post on how to do it easily: http://www.soliantconsulting.com/blog/2014/01/references-embedded-container-data
