Is it possible to use List View while hosting files over the Web?

If you're using custom publishing it carries on working when you switch the database to list view. (providing all your fields are in the list layout)

However, you only get a single return on the web record detail page 'cos that's what's in the html

If you want to display a list on the web, you'll need to use either a search return (into which you can embed related fields or portals) or a record detail page with a portal to bring in the other records.

(Hope I've interpreted the question correctly)
