Arny Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'm using FMGO13 and have set up security access for the technicians to use a mobile service work order application. When I run this application on my iPad everything works as designed. I then log off my iPad. When I sign on as the same user on a different iPad I get the message . . . "The access privileges in this file hae been damaged or possibly tampered with . . . " Is there an iPad setting that I need to understand in order to make this work properly. Again, using the same app and the same user on 2 different iPad's gives me 1 success and 1 failure. Thanks for any suggestions
Rgordon Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 It sounds like the file you are connecting to has some corruption. Do you have a good back up copy of the file that you can use to see if the problem goes away.
Arny Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 The primary database is resident on the iPad [downloaded from email]. all the related db's are located on the FileMaker Server. I tried using several different iterations of the database but continued to have the same problem. Then . . I made changes to the app and had all the db's resident on the server. The problem disappeared after that change. I just couldn't understand why I would get that error when using the app in a 'local' manner on the iPad.
