I was a database administrator using FM 8.5 ten years ago. I left that job, and now ten years later, I need to manage a database again.  I installed my 8.5, imported 300+ records, but now, it will 1) not allow me to create envelopes (layout frozen in the wrong dimensions) and 2) the screen goes black when I click and hold the mouse.

 

What is my 8.5 telling me?
