accounts with the same name exist on the FMS machine OS?

Accounts are disabled on the OD side?  Clocks are off on those machines?

Can you log into the FMS OS itself with one of those accounts?  That's always the big test.  If you can then you know the OD account works.  If you can't then there is something wrong with the OD account

It only happens to some users.

There are no accounts on the FMS machine. Open Directory is set up on a different server. FMS is connecting to that server.

Clocks cannot be an issue otherwise no accounts would work, correct?

Yes, we can log into the OS itself with one of those accounts.

The accounts are nod disabled in OD.

I assumed something might be wrong with the OD accounts so I deleted and recreated one. Their IT guy created a test account. Looks like any new account won't work. I checked and made sure they belong to the same groups.

Any other ideas?

Thanks, guys!

Are you seeing errors 661 being logged in the FMS event log for the accounts that do not work?

Any differences in account types between those that work and those that do not?

Have you tried with both the long name and the short name of the account?

They all started working this morning. Maybe the server just needed to sleep on it. :-)

Thanks, guys!

And yes, before I tried both long and short names and the account types and privileges were the same exact ones as the ones working.
