Accessing different website from each record

I am new to FM scripting and I am seeking help to program a button to open a different pre-determined website in each record, not just the same website in all records.

Hi DAV, and welcome to the FM Forums,

Take a look at the Open URL script step.

Thanks for your reply and for your welcome, Lee.

I have tried the Open URL scripts, but unfortunately this works globally and not on individual records.

I am working on a radio station database and I want to be able to direct the user from a record which gives details of a particular station to that station's website.  The Open URL script, as i understand it, can deal with just a single website for the whole file.

No. If you click the 'Specify...' button in the "Open URL Options" window, you'll be able to specify the URL by a calculation. Just select the name of your URL field and you'll be set to go.

Thank you - the script now does exactly what I want it to do.  I originally looked at the calculation screen but could not see how just pointing to the field would be enough!

Cheers
