Unfortunately "Clean My Mac" has removed some files from my system. If I start FMP 11 by clicking the program icon I get the following error message:

ERROR
FileMaker can bot share files over the Web because
instant Web Publishing could not be started.

If I start FMP by double-clicking a *.fp7 file I get the above + this:

The document "catalogue 2014.fp7" could
not be opened. Filemaker Pro Advanced
cannot open files in the "FileMaker
Document" format.

I vere very much in doubt about where to post this. Please correct me if this forum thread is not the propiate.

Allright, Lee, I didn't see that topic.

No, I havn't tried to re-install, sInce I'm affraid of loosing all my settings and scripts. Can I do that with out problems?

The description you provide in your original post sounded like the problem was in the FileMaker App. Reinstalling FileMaker Application shouldn’t have an effect on the files. Note: I would use one of the starter files, not your own.

If this doesn't fix your problem, then test your files on a different machine.

If you want, you can attach a copy of your file(s) to a post here, and one of us will check them out to see if we can spot anything.

HTH,

Lee
