Can I post examples without there being a question first?

Hello!

This is a rather in general question (and probably a rather dumb one but better safe then sorry). I am rather new to the forums and am not sure about forum rules and such. So I figured I would ask and either someone could answer it, or direct me to a rules section. :)

I am currently working on a very large database design, with many "moving parts". I know when I have a question the first place I go is a FileMaker forum. As if I don't have the answer, or can't figure it out, odds are good that someone else will. However it is especially nice when I find a topic and it happens to have an example posted, or the script written that I, myself, just can't get to work.

As a way to kind of give back to others that may have inquires about a piece of what I am currently working on, I was wondering if I was allowed to start a thread just to post database examples, or written script examples that other people can take, use, alter to their needs (and maybe even more experienced developers can improve upon if they see a flaw that I, as a newer developer, might not even consider)?

I have seen this done on a few other forums, but this is the main forum I use and would like to post my findings here. I just haven't encountered any posts like that here and wanted to know if it was something that was allowed before doing such myself.

Thank you.

Yes, absolutely. Happy I asked, I honestly didn't even see that at all (again, fairly new here). Thanks so much for the reply Fitch.
