zero when if there is no data to display in a report

Featured Replies

Hi

I am trying to work out how to get my report to display a zero in the totals at the bottom of the full breakdown report if I don't have any data for that. Say for example I have no chaperones in for that day and unit, it will just leave it blank, but what I would love is a 0 to display at the totals at the end. Does this make sense?

I have attached the file.

thanks

Sarah

Hi

I worked out how to get it to display a 0. Although for some reason it will not show up with the adult column. When you click on unit day report in scene details layout, the report shows a zero for the kids, stand ins and doubles, but not the adults, even though the formal looks the same. I also cannot get it to show zero for the chaperones.

I have reuploaded it so you can see what i did. I put 0 + then the calculation.

Any help is much appreciated..

thanks sarah

I just rewrote the line from scratch and it worked. so all sorted.......

I put 0 + then the calculation.

Clever, Sarah!  Not everyone picks up on that trick, even with many years of experience under their belts.   :thumbsup:

@LaRetta

thanks... it was a fluke, I just thought I would try it as it seemed the only way it might show up. I think it was beginners luck as I am very very much a beginner.
