FM13 Wont launch

Hi there. FM13 has been installed and working fine on a Windows 8.1 machine

All of a sudden today it wont launch... the app sits in task manager for a second or two before quitting... any ideas what to check before I go and re format the whole PC.

Tried reinstalling. Confirmed installation of .net 4.5

Check for the presence of incompatible plug ins. This symptom is common.

ahhh java needs updating actually.... thanks!
